TECH’s latest training session brought our VP of Sales & Training, Walter van Loon, and Technical Trainer, Volodymyr Bagdasarian, to Riga, Latvia, where we had the pleasure of working with our long-standing partner and distributor of over 30 years, Animo. We were delighted to meet Andris Muiznieks (CEO and owner) and Sales Manager Kristaps Kublins.
TRAINING SESSIONS OVERVIEW
Over two days, on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 3-4, 2025, we conducted training sessions for a total of 30 participants, divided into two groups. The training was attended by technicians from Bridgestone’s “First Stop” shops, who are strong advocates of TECH repairs, as well as technicians from Goodyear’s “Truck-Force” networks.
HANDS-ON LEARNING EXPERIENCE
During this two-day visit, we focused entirely on TECH training, covering our extensive product portfolio. As with all TECH training events, we provided both theoretical instruction and practical demonstrations, showcasing repair techniques for:
- Passenger and truck tires
- Agricultural and OTR repair materials
PRACTICAL DEMONSTRATIONS
The hands-on demonstrations began with an introduction to:
- 2-Way Tube Repairs
- Permacure Repairs
- One-Piece Uni-Seal Ultra Repairs
For truck tire repairs, we provided a comprehensive analysis of both soft and hard-gum Radial & Cross-Ply repair technologies, featuring:
- TECH’s Centech Radial Repairs
- TECH Fusion (hard-gum)
- BP Bias Cross-Ply Repairs
We demonstrated the exceptional strength and durability of TECH’s Radial Repairs, explaining how these patches, designed for chemical and heat cure applications, restore the crown, shoulder, or sidewall of radial tires of all sizes. Reinforced with high-quality cushion gum, these repair units—when used with TECH’s repair stems, chemicals, and tools—ensure a long-lasting, reliable repair that extends tire life.
NEW PRODUCT INTRODUCTIONS
During the training, we also introduced new product procedures, including:
- A & B Compound (Cat. No. 130A & 130B / 857A & 857B A & B Strip Rubber) in combination with the NailHole Extruder (Cat. No. 670P)
