TECH Europe recently took to the road in France for a series of sales, product and technical training visits with four Groupe Simon / Profil Plus operations across Brittany and the Limoges region.
Walter van Loon, VP Sales, TECH Europe, and Laetitia Gharsallah, Business Development Manager – France, visited ABR Atlantique Bretagne Rechapage, Profil Plus Auray, Profil Plus Chauray and Profil Plus Limoges between 31 August and 10 September.
The tour provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen our relationship with Groupe Simon, share TECH tire repair expertise and gain valuable insight into the day-to-day requirements of professionals working across truck, retread, agricultural, OTR and industrial tire applications.
Groupe Simon is a major independent tire specialist in France, with a network of Profil Plus agencies serving both passenger and professional markets.
First Stop: ABR – Atlantique Bretagne Rechapage, Brittany
The first visit was to ABR – Atlantique Bretagne Rechapage, a retreading operation specializing in truck and agricultural tires.
ABR handles the complete process from carcass collection and inspection through preparation, repair, retreading and redistribution. The company uses both hot-mold and pre-cure retreading technologies.
The visit provided an excellent opportunity to discuss TECH repair materials in a demanding retread environment. During the TECH repair audit, we worked with Technicians Deth Oun, Evarest Atasie and Freddy Le Cam. Particular attention was given to correct TECH repair procedures, repair quality and the importance of reliable materials when preparing tire carcasses for a further service life.
The technical exchange with the team was very positive and helped identify opportunities for further cooperation and product development. The 3 technicians were awarded the Tech Tire Repair Specialist Certificate. Special thanks to Technical Manager, Richard Jannic and factory Director Eric Lelievre for arranging this repair audit & training meeting.
Second Stop: Auray Pneus / Profil Plus Auray
Next on the tour was Profil Plus Auray, where the focus shifted to the practical requirements of a busy tire service operation supporting passenger, truck and OTR applications
The visit focused on the practical requirements of a busy tire service operation, including tire repair, repair materials and solutions for professional applications. The discussion with the local team was particularly useful for understanding how TECH products can support fast, safe and professional repairs in day-to-day workshop operations.
The team worked closely with Shop Supervisor Silvère Cougaud and technicians Assani Madi, Bangoura Moustapha and David Cornet, who each successfully completed the training and were awarded the TECH Tire Repair Specialist Certificate.
Third Stop: Profil Plus Chauray
The third visit took place at Profil Plus Chauray, a broad-service Profil Plus operation covering passenger car, agricultural, truck, OTR, handling and public-works applications. Its industrial activities include tire repair, retreading-related services, regrooving, tire rotation and on-site intervention.
This broad range of services provided an ideal setting to discuss dependable tire repair solutions for technicians working both in the workshop and in the field. The visit combined technical discussions, product knowledge and a detailed repair audit designed to reinforce correct repair practices.
Walter and Laetitia worked with Industrial Operations Coordinator Wilfrid Bellereaud and technicians Jeremy Cazaro and Frederic Bacconneau, all of whom were awarded the TECH Tire Repair Specialist Certificate.
Final Stop: Profil Plus Sud / Limoges Romanet
The final visit was to Profil Plus Limoges, also referred to as the Limoges South location, managed by Xavier Deledalle.
This is another comprehensive Groupe Simon / Profil Plus operation, serving passenger, agricultural, truck, OTR/construction, handling and public-works applications. Its truck services include cold and hot tire repair, on-site intervention, retreading-related services and regrooving.
The Limoges visit provided a valuable opportunity to discuss TECH solutions across a broad range of tire applications. Particular attention was given to the needs of professional technicians working with truck and industrial tires, where repair quality, durability and correct application of repair materials are essential.
The team worked closely with Branch Manager Xavier Deledalle and technicians Kevin Reynaert and Adrien Dabjat, who were each awarded the TECH Tire Repair Specialist Certificate following the audit and training.
The four visits provided valuable face-to-face contact with Groupe Simon / Profil Plus teams across different types of tire operations, from large-scale retreading at ABR to multi-purpose industrial and OTR workshops in Auray, Chauray and Limoges.
Combining product presentations, technical training, repair audits and direct discussions with technicians allowed the TECH team to share best practices while also gaining valuable feedback from the professionals using tire repair products every day.
Most importantly, the visits reinforced TECH’s commitment to supporting its customers and partners with high-quality tire repair materials, technical expertise and practical training.
