We would like to introduce you to Gert Monden who has been a valued member of the TECH team for 16 years! Check out what he had to say about his role as a Warehouse Operator below.
Tell us what you enjoy about your role at TECH Europe?
I enjoy taking control of my tasks and challenging myself with finding ways to improve efficiency. Working in the warehouse always keep me busy and I’m happy to be part of a team who help and support each other when needed.
What advice would you give to someone starting with TECH Europe?
I would simply say to newcomers: “Stay focused and relaxed!” Roles at TECH offer a variety of tasks and we have a supportive team to help everyone settle into their role and learn what they need to about the company.
What are your hobbies and interests?
When I was 10, I started playing drums and two years later I started to learn metal music together with my schoolmates. Metal has always represented a challenge for myself: I kept saying to myself: “WOW, you can also play metal with drums like you want and stretch yourself as much as possible with this!”. I played in a 5-piece band until few years ago and I still enjoy playing our songs and creating new arrangements. We as a band had written texts and sounds and we occasionally played metal covers and performed live with several high-level players. Well, I am proud to admit that we contributed to spread metal across Belgium!
