In early June, the TECH team travelled to Vitoria, Spain, to visit our trusted partner of more than 15 years, SERNESA, and deliver a hands-on training program. Led by our VP of Sales & Training, Walter van Loon, Technical Trainer, Volodymyr Bagdasaryan, and Iberia Regional Sales Manager, Renzo Garcia, the visit focused on enhancing product knowledge and tire repair techniques for both passenger and commercial applications.
After a warm welcome by Sernesa Sales Manager Rafa Alonso and his team, the two-day training session got underway – covering a wide range of topics, from passenger tire repairs to truck tire solutions, with a special emphasis on hot vulcanization using the TRDD Monaflex machine and Lincoln Thermopress systems. The training was also a great opportunity for new training videos to be recorded for the Sernesa website.

As with all TECH training programs, both theoretical instruction and live demonstrations were delivered. Sernesa’s team received in-depth guidance on TECH’s industry-leading Permacure, One-Piece Uni-Seal Repairs, and Radial Repair Systems—designed to restore tires to a safe and durable condition for the life of the tire.
Core Training Topics Included:
- Tire inspection and damage assessment
- Identifying repairable zones
- Surface cleaning and preparation
- Selection and application of repair materials
- Use of TECH tools, repair units, and specialty chemicals
Demonstrating the strength and durability of TECH’s Radial Repairs, they explained how the patches, which are available for both chemical and heat cure application processes, have been expertly manufactured to repair the crown, shoulder or sidewall of all types and sizes of radial tires.
The repair units are fabric reinforced with high quality cushion gum which permanently vulcanizes to the tire and coupled with TECH’s repair stems, chemicals, and tools, provide a permanent repair lasting the life of the tire.
