TECH Europe recently partnered with our long-standing distributor, Röper GmbH, to deliver in-depth training at three key customer sites in Germany. Led by Volodymyr Bagdasarian (Technical Trainer) and Oliver Hoffmann (Business Development Manager, DACH), the initiative focused on enhancing retreading processes using TECH’s Thermacure repair systems.

This collaborative training tour helped reinforce TECH’s commitment to quality, safety, and ongoing customer support in the retread industry.

Visit 2 – Vergölst, Cham

Next, we visited Vergölst in Cham, one of two retread facilities operated by the Continental Group in Germany. With a production capacity of more than 10,000 cold retreads annually, the site plays a key role in their retreading operations.

We were welcomed by Fidan Sadiku, Production Manager, and a team of six operators who participated in a group training session that began with technical demonstrations, followed by practical exercises allowing each participant to perform repairs independently. This interactive format allowed the team to sharpen their skills and gain useful insights into TECH’s repair techniques.

Beyond the core retread training, we also had the opportunity to showcase TECH’s extensive tire repair capabilities across all vehicle types—from bicycle to OTR (Off-the-Road) applications—highlighting the breadth and flexibility of the TECH product portfolio.

Visit 1 – Reifen Müller, Hammelburg

Our first stop took us to Reifen Müller, a well-established retread facility in Hammelburg. Now part of Hankook, the company is a significant player in the industry, with two separate production buildings – one for hot and one for cold retreading.

We were pleased to meet their production manager, Nasim Khanzada, and several of the production team for training specifically focused on the understanding and practical application of TECH’s Thermacure repair patches, which are manufactured to ECE 108/109 standards.

As one of Germany’s largest retreading companies, Reifen Müller has an impressive production capacity of over 100,000 retreaded tires per year (hot & cold), which are produced and monitored by a trained, professional team.

Visit 3 – Vulco, Friedberg near Augsburg

Our final stop was Vulco in Friedberg, operated by Rieger+Ludwig Reifenzentrale. As a Bandag-certified company, they specialize in the retreading of truck and bus tires, producing more than 10,000 retreaded tires annually.

Together with Christian Sammüller (Production Manager) and his dedicated team, Volodymyr delivered practical demonstrations and reinforced best practices for using TECH’s Thermacure repair systems.

The training focused on consistent repair quality and the effective use of TECH patches across various applications.

Why TECH Thermacure Repairs Are the Preferred Choice in Retreading

TECH’s Thermacure repair systems are engineered specifically for the demands of commercial tire retreading, delivering exceptional durability, consistent performance, and compliance with ECE 108/109 standards. By using Thermacure repairs, retreaders benefit from:

  • Reduced downtime due to fewer repair failures
  • Improved reliability of retreaded tires on the road
  • Cost-efficiency through extended life and fewer replacements
  • Full range of patch sizes including crown patch sizes for larger tread injuries
  • Extremely high initial tack, less chance of air entrapment thanks to TECH’s exclusive soft gum technology

These advantages not only boost production quality but also support sustainability efforts, helping fleets and retreaders reduce waste and resource use while maintaining the highest safety standards.

And that’s a wrap!

This training initiative offered a valuable opportunity for TECH Europe to engage directly with our partners, support production teams on-site, and ensure consistent, high-quality repair outcomes.

Each visit reinforced TECH’s mission to deliver superior repair solutions while helping our customers and distributors achieve high standards in safety, performance, and sustainability.

We’re proud to continue supporting our partners in the field. A huge thank you to Thomas Röper for introducing us to such dedicated customers and organizing a series of highly beneficial and informative visits.
